Following a recent announcement by Microsoft their Office 2010 package will reach its end of support on October 13th 2020 and they will no longer provide support for it.
How this will affect you?
If you are still running Office 2010 after October 13th 2020 you will no longer receive technical support, security fixes or bug fixes from Microsoft.
After this date, Microsoft will no longer provide technical support, bug fixes or security updates. You will however still be able to use this version of Office, but eventually you may face an increase in security risks and compliance issues.
What do you need to do to prepare for the turn off?
Because of the changes listed, we would strongly advise that you upgrade to one of the latest versions of Office as soon as possible.
The ideal scenario to be completely up to date would be to switch to Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365).
Microsoft 365 is a subscription service that lets you run your business in the cloud while Microsoft takes care of the IT for you, managing devices, protecting against real-world threats, and providing you with the latest in business software.
